Shehzada Dhami opens up about being “thrown out” of ‘YRKKH’

Former ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actor Shehzada Dhami has publicly criticised producer Rajan Shahi, accusing him of “throwing” him out of the popular television show.

Dhami made the remarks as he was introduced as one of the contestants in ‘Bigg Boss 18’. Speaking about his decision to join the reality show, Dhami revealed his discontent with how he was treated during his time on ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. In an interview with The Indian Express, Dhami stated, “I am from Punjab and have done four shows. One day, without any explanation, my producer insulted me in front of the entire unit and removed me from the show. No one can take away what is in my destiny—not even me.”

He continued, “People will always talk, that’s their job. But believing everything without seeing it firsthand is foolish. Sometimes, what is presented as the truth can be a lie, and even a softly spoken lie will be heard. But when someone shouts lies, it grabs everyone’s attention.”

Dhami was replaced by Rohit Purohit in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ in March, a move that he now speaks of with clear frustration and disappointment. His candid remarks in ‘Bigg Boss 18’ have sparked discussions around the circumstances of his exit from the show.
